What a great boost our club recieved last year when we obtained a grant from Inter Reg II to carry out work on our river. The first project that came to mind was the building of the car park and disabled anglers area which had been put on hold since 1999. Over the past few months work has been carried out on both projects resulting in a car park and 3 disabled anglers platforms at Stephenstown on the Ardee Road. The work carried out has greatly enhanced our river. Our development Officer Robert Mc Dowell and his team have carried out fantastic work on the river. He is also making great plans for the coming year which would hopefully bring our river up to very high standards.
